27.1 Meditate on who you are in the infinite Lord’s loving heart (1)

Series 27

Episode 1

Prologue

Message

Let’s read Song 6:10: “Who is this who looks down like the dawn, beautiful as the moon, bright as the sun, awesome as an army with banners?” This verse asks, “Who is this?” You know for certain who this is. Song 8:5 says, “Who is that coming up from the wilderness, leaning on her beloved?” Both verses ask, “who is this?” These two verses are very precious. I want to make use of these two verses to help you meditate on who you are in the Lord’s love and in His heart. Behold, who are you?

The Song of Solomon is a great book. It is the song of songs. I’ve never come across a song more beautiful than this. It is far greater than all other songs ! I’m a bookworm and I’ve read a lot of books in my life, but all those books combined cannot compare to the Song of Solomon. It is far greater than any other book! I believe Song of Solomon is the book I have read and meditated on for the most times. I cherish this book very much. After 60 years, this book still shines forth new enlightenment.

God’s word is firmly fixed in the heavens forever. There is a great book that is so concise and beautiful, and this is the song of songs. No other poem in this world can be compared to it, not even the 150 psalms in the Bible, many of which have been made into songs. Still, the Song of Solomon stands as the Song of songs.

Out of all the songs in this world, including those in the Bible, the Song of Solomon is still the most precious. The name of this book, the Song of Songs, tells us that this is the most precious song of all . When the Bible describes the most precious things, it uses expressions similar to “song of songs”. For example, “the holy of holies” surpasses the holy place; our Lord, “the King of kings,” is far greater than any other king! Our Lord is also “the Lord of lords”, because He is higher than all other masters on earth . It is so amazing that there is such a book as “the Song of Songs,” which is the most outstanding of all songs. This song illustrates the deepest and most beautiful love between you and the eternal infinite Lord. In this song, you are the main character and He loves you the most. He says, “My darling, My love.” Let me ask you, “Who are you?”

This song contains a lot of meanings. For example, it says “My dove, my perfect one, is the only one, the only one of her mother, pure to her who bore her.” (Song 6:9) Who is this? It’s you. Moreover, this book mentions multiple times that we belong to the Lord by using these words: “My beloved is mine, and I am his.” (Song 2:16) When the believer knows the Lord more, she says, “I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine.” (Song 6:3) Later, when she knows the Lord even more, what does she say? “I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.” (Song 7:10)

Who are you? It is so amazing to consider that “my beloved is mine!” Who are you? The eternal infinite Lord is your beloved! I treasure what Song 5 says, “This is my beloved and this is my friend.” (Song 5:16) Even after reading this book countless times, I still find it so stunning that this eternal infinite Lord is my Beloved!

Who are you? I believe that for all eternity, , I will still infinitely cherish that He is my Beloved, my true Beloved. The infinite one is my true Beloved! What I treasure more is that no matter how much I treasure this, He treasures even more that I am His. We can see and understand this from the above 3 verses. The last verse that I quoted says, “I am my beloved’s, and his desire is for me.” It’s so amazing that this eternal infinite Lord is my Beloved. It’s an astonishing fact that is beyond description. The Lord who created all things is your Beloved! In the whole universe, I cherish this the most because this is the “relationship of relationships,” the deepest love relationship . No matter how much I treasure this, He treasures even more that I am His. And He expressed it in such a stunning way – with actions that accomplished the impossible.

Who are you in His love and in His heart? In order to gain us, He became God and man at the same time forever. He was no longer only God. He is exceedingly great, but He became a human being so that he could be the same as me . This is stunning! Who are you in His heart? Because of this love relationship He was willing to become God and man at the same time, forever. Forever is not a simple thing. Who are you in His heart? It’s astonishing! Among the Trinity God, there is one person who is a man forever. It’s so amazing that He died for me; He died for me on the cross! He was forsaken, chastised and punished; He bore my sins. He was one with the Father, but He was forsaken by the Father! Who are you in His heart indeed? He has such immense love for you!

Who are you in the infinite one’s loving heart?

Message Date: 2020-07-19

This message mentions multiple Bible passages that help you to understand and meditate on your place in the Lord’s heart. The passages let you see how He loves you, and who you are. After meditating on these, you can respond to him and have love interflow with Him. The Song of Solomon, which is also the Song of Songs, gives you a lot of content to meditate on the eternal infinite Lord’s most beautiful love with you. You are the main character of this love song! You can also ponder upon your place in the Lord’s heart through the followings: He earnestly desires to have the bread breaking meeting with you, He used His precious blood to set up a love covenant with you, He is preparing the most beautiful eternal home for you, the New Jerusalem, and He has the deepest love union with you, a union of life.  In addition, the Lord’s prayer to the Father in John 17 opened God’s heart. It told us how precious we were in the hearts of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit before the foundation of the world.
