I treasure very much what happened on the night before the Lord’s crucifixion, especially the fact that He desired to have the feast with the disciples. For the sake of you and me, He established this precious, life-long feast of love. Both Luke 22 and Matthew 26 are about this feast that He established for us. The Lord revealed what happened that night to Paul in 1 Corinthians 11. Moreover, I treasure John chapters 13-17 very much, especially chapter 17, which is infinitely precious. It’s the Lord who opened His heart and poured out His prayers from His heart. He prayed for you and me, and expressed His love desire for us to Abba. The Lord desired for you and me to be with Him where He would be, so that we may see the glory that the Father gave Him. The Lord said the Father loved Him before the foundation of the world. That’s why the Father gave us to the Lord – so we could enjoy eternity with Him. (John 17: 24)
It’s so precious that in John 14, He told us that He, Abba, and the Holy Spirit would live in our hearts forever. The infinite Trinity God is most deeply united with us and bound to us in life. That night He disclosed the universe’s deepest secret, the secret in the depth of God’s heart: The Father loves us as He loves His beloved Son, and the Lord loves us as the Father loves Him. The Lord spoke of the most beautiful love dream and the family of Abba, the Son and the Holy Spirit. He also mentioned that we would become perfectly one. The climax of His prayer was that the love with which the Father has loved Him may be in us, and He in us.
We have the most outstanding position in His heart. The Lord eagerly walked to the cross with all His love and glory. I’ve said that the cross was not the final destination. What He did on the cross has an everlasting impact on eternity. He has overcome all! It’s so precious that He is risen; He lives forever; and He lives in our hearts. It’s infinitely precious that this eternal infinite Lord has come, opened His heart to us, and spoke so many precious words.
Brothers and sisters, let us use our hearts to realize and enjoy all these precious words of the Bible. Let us realize and enjoy this living Lord and His love for us, and enter into worship. He needs us to respond to His words. He needs your heart to have love interflow with Him, be quiet before Him, and enter deeper into worship. He most treasures your response to Him, and treasures that you enjoy Him.
