29.3 See that God meets me in His steadfast love and exults over me with loud singing (2)

Series 29

Episode 3

Prologue

It’s very important for us to know how to behold—to see God’s true image and how He treats us. When we come before God, we can first think that He meets us in His steadfast love. Hand in hand, He walks with us. Abba even kisses us with many kisses. Furthermore, the Father meets us with the love which He has loved the Lord, because there is the deepest affection between God and us! We can also consider that God is true. We are God’s love dream. We have the most precious position in His heart. He understands us well and knows all of our needs. It’s so precious that we were created to be the closest to God, and to be in love with Him.

Message

How should we help ourselves to see God? By beholding. Beholding helps us greatly. I’d recommend that you stay quiet before God, without saying anything, and to look at Him and feel Him first. Because you are speaking and having fellowship with Him, you should first look clearly at Him and see what He is like. If you are too focused on just saying things to Him, you will not be able to pay attention to Him. It’s very helpful when you notice Him, and clearly feel how He is. Your heart will be attracted. You’ll enjoy Him and enter into worship. You’ll be drawn to enjoy Him. Even without saying anything, when you meditate according to the scripture and truth, you can feel how He loves you and treats you. You can feel what your relationship with Him is like and what His attitude towards you is. You can even feel His expressions and His eyes. I’m not trying to paint an image of God, I just wanted to express how you can feel His attitude towards you. This is very important. Misunderstanding God’s image harms us greatly. Satan wants to disturb us about this. Our ancestors sinned because they were deceived by Satan into thinking that God holds back precious things from us, and that He does not really love us so much. If we think that God loves us a little less, the consequences are significant. If we accept Satan’s lies about how God’s love towards us is lacking, even in just a little bit, the damage will be great. God created us for Himself. He desires us to fully enjoy Him and His love, and no less. Otherwise, your heart cannot be satisfied. If God only loves you with 98% of His love, your heart cannot be satisfied. We were truly created to fully enjoy Him. This is the need in our hearts. Therefore, we should desire and treasure Him. Use our desire to respond to His desire for us. This is our love dream.

These songs are simple but they are very helpful to us. I give you this song as a gift: Daily You meet me in Your steadfast love, and in the help of Your countenance. It’s not important if you can’t remember all of the lyrics. Remembering just one line still has great benefits. Before drawing close to Abba and praying, simply singing this one line can help you greatly. When you see how He will meet you in His steadfast love, you will be changed. He is not unresponsive. On the contrary, He is the most expressive and most active person. His joy overflows when you respond to Him and draw close to Him! In order to see us and embrace us, He even sent His Beloved Son to endure such great pain. He causes the veil to be torn so that we can enter into the Holy of Holies, to be the closest to Him. Even though these songs are simple, singing just one or two lines can help us a lot. I also need these songs to help me put God’s love in front of myself again and again.

Here are some lines from the song:

Daily You meet me in Your steadfast love and in the help of Your countenance.
Father, You have opened Your heart and bosom for me.
You enjoy embracing me, kissing me.
Daily You desire to see my face and hear my voice.
Hand in hand, we live together.

Who has seen parents holding their children’s hands? I love seeing parents and children together. It’s so beautiful. Those scenes remind me of the affection between the Father and I. They let me know that He loves me even more than those parents love their children. These lyrics are based on the biblical truth. For example, the phrase “kiss me with many kisses” came from the parable of the lost son. This also reminds me of a very good brother. If I remember correctly, he kisses his son about 20 times every day. This number may vary. But over the years, he has kissed his son about 40,000 times. This is true. How can the love of our heavenly Father be less than this brother’s love toward his son? God uses relationships on earth to express His fatherly love, to show His heart towards us, and how much He treasures and loves you.

Another line from the song is “Hand in hand, we live together”: It’s written in Psalm 73, “you hold my right hand.” I felt that the Holy Spirit had put one of my hands on the Father, and the other one on the Lord. He wants me to live together with the Father and the Lord. I’m always alone, but I don’t live alone. It’s because the Father, the Lord and the Holy Spirit live with me. Of course, many angels are surrounding me as well. I’m very sure that the Father, the Lord and the Holy Spirit are the closest to me. They are living in my heart and They stay with me. Day and night, I feel God’s help!

He doesn’t just meet me in His steadfast love. One of the lines in the song is, You meet me in the love with which You have loved the Lord. The Old Testament writes about His lovingkindness. When the Lord came to the earth, He said it very clearly, that He desires the love with which the Father has loved Him be in us. Therefore, the Father will meet me in the love with which He has loved the Lord! Now we are in the New Testament era. We understand the help of His countenance better.

Let’s look at a few more lines from the song:

Your smile is the most beautiful and bright, warm and affectionate.
I’m Your love dream, the most beautiful love dream from eternity past, from Your most beautiful plan.
You have created the deepest affection!
I’m redeemed by the blood of Your Beloved Son. I belong to You.

(Even though we cannot see Him, it’s so precious that God has told us these things by His own words. His smile is definitely the most beautiful and inviting. Once you see Him, your heart will feel that He is very approachable. You will be attracted to draw close to Him. You know that He delights in you.)

(You can consider how this affection is the deepest in the whole universe, admired by angels!)

When you draw close to the Father, you can consider how God redeemed you by the blood of His Beloved Son and caused you to be born of God. He treasures you so much! You can see God this way. You know that He is true, even though you cannot see Him with your physical eyes. Who can see the virus? No one, but you still wear a mask. Everything is so real. He is the Creator of all things. The Bible tells us that He is true. He is the infinite Spirit and life. Spirits are real. Angels are spirits with limits, but they truly exist. God is everywhere. It’s so precious that He lets us know Him. He also solved all of our problems of sins. God became flesh. God sent His Beloved Son, who with the Father and the Holy Spirit, are the Trinity God. This infinite Spirit is the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. When the Lord came, man was able to see what God is like. God also came to say the most precious words, which were unheard of in the world. He came to tell us God’s name and to let us know God Himself. It’s so precious!

When I consider how Satan has deceived the whole world, I feel very grateful that God has opened our spiritual eyes, so that we can know God. Man has nothing when he doesn’t return to God. Even if you were given the whole world, your heart would still feel empty; as Solomon once said: vanity of vanities. It’s because your heart would not feel content. Man cannot live on food alone. Man is more than just flesh and blood. Man is so glorious! God is Spirit. We know that each one of us also has a spirit. Nothing can compare to this. We were created to be the closest to Him and to be in love with Him!

You can also consider how you’re God’s eternal love dream—the one He desires the most! You’re His most beautiful love desire. Your value is immeasurable. Some people may look down on you. Satan despises you. He enjoys deceiving you into believing you’re a product of evolution and that you do not have a soul. He has deceived many. Sometimes you despise yourself because you have been affected by many misconceptions. Before you knew God, you also committed sins. This may cause you to despise yourself. But God knows everything about you. He knew from eternity past what kind of person you would be and the sins you would commit. He knew about the failures you would have. He knew all about you, yet He was still willing to become a Man for you. He wants to be the closest to you. He came to take away our sins and to transform us into new creations most compatible with Him. We understand and know each other deeply. We can be in love with Him and enjoy Him. He knows everything about us, so we don’t need to cover up anything. Nor do we need to make ourselves better. He loves us as we are. Therefore, we need to understand how the Lord sees us.

The Bible is very precious. Because He knows all of our needs, the Bible also records the failures of certain people. It’s not because God wanted to remind us of our failures. He is using these experiences to help us. David is one who was after God’s heart. His whole life was very glorious. But, he also had major failures. Do you think that the Lord was unaware of Peter’s failure? Peter denied the Lord three times, to the point that he swore that he didn’t know the Lord. The Lord knew that Peter would fail beforehand.

How to behold

Message Date: 2020-05-24

It is very important for us to behold, which is closely related to our minds. When we think of a person, we will have that person’s image in our minds. So, what we see and what we think are closely related. It is helpful for us to come before God and to see clearly how He treats us. The devil will use many ways to obstruct us, especially with accusations and shadows. Again and again we must see clearly God’s love for us according to what the Bible says. For example, it says, “My God in His steadfast love will meet me.” (Psalm 59:10) “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness; He will quiet you by His love; He will exult over you with loud singing.” (Zeph 3:17) The Lord’s love for Peter had not changed, even though He already knew that Peter would deny Him three times. Upon His resurrection, the Lord especially appeared to Peter and asked him three times, “Do you love Me?” He also commissioned Peter to feed His lambs. The Lord spoke of a parable of the prodigal son. When he returned home, the father ran to him and fell on his neck, covering him with many kisses. He laid a feast, made music and danced.
