30.2 Faith is based on truth

Series 30

Episode 2

Prologue

Message

Prologue

Brothers and sisters, today’s topic of Treasures for the Soul is “Faith is based on truth.

It is written in Isaiah 9:6, For to us a child is born, to us a son is given.” For us, the Lord Jesus was born, lived, and died. Forever He is no longer God alone. Many passages from the Bible tell us how deeply He loves us, such as the Song of Solomon, the eternal covenant established by the Lord, and His sunken wound. Our lives and eternity should be built upon the Lord and His word. The phrase “It is written” appears many times in the Bible. The Lord’s word and promises are our help throughout our life. We deeply believe that the Lord can use all things to help us finish His will gloriously.

Message

Today, I’d like to continue to talk about beholding, which is the way to transformation. The most important thing is that our heart can be transformed, glory upon glory, sweetness upon sweetness, joy upon joy, nearness upon nearness! The Father, the Lord and the Holy Spirit love us, and this love is beyond what we can describe or imagine. Because of His love for us, the Lord chose to be God and Man at the same time! Because you and I are human, and the Lord loves us so much, He desires to be a man forever, so that He can be the closest to us. He takes away the distance and barriers in our hearts. He is God. Yet, because of His everlasting love for you, He chose to be a man forever. He came to show how precious you are. He’s the infinite God, the everlasting Lord. But for this love, He chose to be a man forever! Although I have written many songs about this, I will never be able to avoid this truth. I’ll continue to be amazed and always treasure it. Nothing in the whole universe can replace this—the Lord chose to be a man forever for me. Because I am a man and He loves me, He desires to be a man forever, to be the closest to me. He does not want any barriers or distance between us. He doesn’t want us to have any psychological barriers or anything to affect us. Rather, He personally came to express His love towards us, and that we are so precious to Him!

Think about this, Isaiah wrote: For to us a child is born.” Of course “us” also includes me. A son, the Son of God, is given to us. Isn’t that stunning? You would be shocked if someone were born especially for you! Would you feel worthy if someone were born for you? And would you feel worthy if someone lived his whole life for you? The Lord went above and beyond these. To save you, He experienced the deepest pain, which exceeded all sufferings from hell and the sufferings of all people in the world added together. Regardless of your condition, He can save you and bring you to be the closest to Him. He even established a covenant to confirm that this is true. Forever this is the most precious love covenant binding you and Him together in this life and eternity. This love relationship is expressed in the Song of Solomon. Besides all these, He kept the deep scars of love on His side, hands and feet as the evidence of this deepest love union with us. The Lord says that you are altogether beautiful without any flaw. Who said this? It doesn’t mean anything if I say it a thousand times. In fact, it’s the Lord who says it. I treasure the phrase “It is written.” To overcome Satan, we need the words written in the Bible. Our faith is based on the truth. For example, it is written in the Bible that God is the one who justifies us. It’s very clear. What He has given us is truly precious. Faith comes from hearing the word of Christ. (Romans 10:17) It’s God’s promise, the word of God. How precious it is!

The world is flooded with information; but so what? Where is all that information coming from? Is it worthy for you to commit your life to it? Where do you build your life and eternity upon? It is so precious that we are building upon the Lord Himself. His words are not just words but are truths. We can experience His words and Him. This is my everyday experience. In my entire life, I’ve encountered Him in different ways and in countless times. These experiences are very precious. I wrote a song about anchoring and resting in His love. His love is the greatest security in this world. Isn’t it very precious? All may collapse, but His love will never fail. He even causes all things to work together. That’s why Paul could sing in prison. Many things are happening in the world today; our hearts should be excited, because we know His will and His guidance. He uses everything, including many man-made problems. Psalm 76:10 says it very well: Surely the wrath of man shall praise you; the remnant of wrath you will put on like a belt.” Everything is in His hand. He can use the tiniest matter to finish His will more quickly and gloriously. He also makes the arrogant know that they are just men. He once used flies and fleas to manifest His greatness. He is in complete control, even if man have errors. The most important is for us to know Him and live in His will.

Why am I different from the people around me? Because I know Him and His will. Furthermore, I have His commission in this generation. He will be responsible to the end. He will use all things, therefore I can rely on Him and sing. I’m excited and encouraged that He is coming soon, and His will will be done soon. These two are connected. Therefore, you should rejoice and prepare yourself for the most glorious journey ahead. But first and foremost is our hearts!

The core things we need to see when we behold the Lord

Message Date: 2020-05-31

It is extremely important for us to behold the Lord; it is the way to our transformation–glory upon glory, sweetness upon sweetness, and joy upon joy. We must use our faith to come before the Lord. Faith is based upon the truth, which is God’s word. The devil’s main focus is to deceive us, so that we do not trust that God loves us the most, thus we would not be attracted by God’s love. The most important thing in beholding is for us to see God’s image, how He treats us, and His countenance towards us. We must pursue Him diligently, solve the problems regarding our spirits, and know God more. The truth will set us free. We must clear up all of our doubts about God’s love for us, and know that we are the Lord’s first love and eternal love. The Lord calls us His perfect ones, above reproach, altogether beautiful and without blemish.
