30.6 Pursue diligently, see the truth clearly, and trust that the Lord loves us the most (1)

Series 30

Episode 6

Prologue

Message

Prologue

Brothers and sisters, today’s topic of Treasures for the Soul is “Pursue diligently, see the truth clearly, and trust that the Lord loves us the most (1).

Satan is the accuser and slanderer. He makes us feel that we are not good enough. He also misleads us into thinking that God does not love us the most. The Holy Spirit uses the truth to pour God’s love into our hearts. Therefore, we should pursue Him and use the truth to resolve the problems in our minds. We should also know that God loves us. In addition to listening to messages, we ought to draw near to God. This gives Him room to work in us. It’s so precious that one of the things the Lord did after His resurrection was to remove the shadows in the disciples’ hearts.

Message

You need to review the books where I wrote about the names of Jehovah, His love toward you, and how to set your spirit free. I have shared a lot about these topics. It’s because you need to deal with the disturbances that the enemy puts in your heart. This is the core of your problem. You must know the focus of Satan’s attacks against you. In a battle, we must know both ourselves and our enemy. You need to know your enemy’s ultimate purpose. For Satan, it’s to make you believe or feel that God does not love you the most.

The Holy Spirit is different. He pours God’s love into your heart and draws you to Him by His love. The devil ultimately wants to prevent you from being drawn by God’s love. Therefore, Satan tries to deceive you into thinking that God does not love you as much. Another lie might be that God loves another brother or sister more. Whatever Satan’s lies or whatever he’s done, you need to be clear about his weapons and schemes. The Bible calls him the accuser. The name “Satan” means slanderer. He slanders God, saying that God is not that good. He also speaks evil against you, saying that you’re not good enough. Besides God, why does Satan also slander you? It’s because he tries to support his lie that God doesn’t love you as much. He justifies the lie by saying that you’re not good enough, or that you don’t love the Lord, or that you’re unworthy. That’s why Satan casts both God and you in a negative light.

This scheme is clearly seen in the Book of Job. Job truly loved God. But Satan accused him of loving God only because of the blessings God had given, such as the personal care and wealth. Satan said that God was not that good and Job didn’t really love God that much. He slandered both sides. He accused Job of loving God for wealth, not from a pure heart. The devil is very wicked! Some of the three friends of Job did not understand Satan’s wicked schemes. Although they tried to help Job out of the best intentions, they ended up accusing Job together. They claimed that Job must have done something wrong, or sinned, and that this resulted in all the suffering. The slanderer uses other people to join in the attack.

The devil has tried to accuse me throughout my life. Accusations make you feel that you’re not good enough. Being accused can also bring out old memories that , make you feel God doesn’t love you as much, because of what you did or how you are. Accusations make you feel that He has reservations in his love for you. This will make you feel down, unable to enjoy God and unattracted to Him. As a result, God’s image in your heart will be distorted and not consistent with what the Bible says. Right at this moment, I’ve told you all this, and you’ve heard it, but you might still think that God does not love you so much. It’s because the misunderstandings in your mind have not yet been cleared up. You may not yet have used the truth to address the problems in your mind. Once solved, you will surely love God more and be drawn by Him more. You’re not worse than other brothers and sisters. The truth is, you are being affected by Satan’s lies, which make you not as attracted to draw near to God. And when you do draw near to Him, you do not enjoy it as much.

You’re the Lord’s dearest darling. He desires to be close to you. We should know the root problem. Brothers and sisters, I can only advise you. Today, I have a lot to say, but time is short. Therefore, you need to study our books. Those books that explain how to set your spirit free, and those that use 1 John to discuss spiritual growth, are very beneficial. In short, you need to pursue. I have read many books in the past decades. I also need to solve the problems in my spirit. Furthermore, I need to have a correct understanding of God and how to draw near to Him and enjoy Him. You need to seek the truth. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of truth and the truth will set you free. When you lack understanding, it’ll affect how much you enjoy the Lord and how much you’re attracted to Him. The Lord draws you to Himself through His love.

This is the main scheme of the devil: to compromise your relationship with God through lies. It’s clearly written in the Bible how our ancestors Adam and Eve failed. This was followed by all mankind falling into the same trap. Hence, you need to know the problem. Satan does not want people to be set free from his web of lies. Therefore, you should be clear about how God loves you. You also need to draw near to Him more often. When you have fellowship with Him, He will open your eyes and open His heart to you. You need to give Him space. This is the reason why I encourage you to sing the diamond hymns. I encourage you to sing “Who Affects the Father the Most” and “Love Like a Rainbow” every day.  These hymns can help you a lot because they put the truth before you. Singing them over and over is not a mechanical repetition. It’s actually following David’s example —he always set God’s love before himself. If David had not done this, he would not have become so well known.

When Moses was at the end of his life journey, he asked God to teach him to number his days so that he might gain a heart of wisdom. What is a heart of wisdom? The first and foremost is to be satisfied in the morning with God’s steadfast love, so that you can rejoice and be glad all your days. Moses knew this was the most important thing for him to do every day. Twice in his life, Moses was face to face with God on the mountain. He was with God for forty days and nights both times. Apart from that, Moses still had a life to live. To him, the most important part of his life was to be satisfied with God’s love so that he could rejoice and be glad. For me it’s the same.

Why do I always talk about drawing near to God? When you draw near to Him, you give Him space. Living out a sweet life with him every day is very important. It’s because it gives you substantial time to draw near to God. He can then open His heart to you and teach you. You should look at the truth more often. Remember the two hymns I mentioned earlier – Who Affects the Father the Most, and Love Like a Rainbow. These two hymns help you visualize many truths, like a series of pictures. But don’t rush through the songs. When you take your time to enjoy those songs, God’s image will become clearer and clearer.

One of the Lord’s important ministries after His resurrection was to take away the shadows in the disciples. Peter denied the Lord three times, and other disciples also failed. They ran away and lost heart. It’s so precious that the Lord came to take away their shadows! Peter denied the Lord three times. Actually, the Lord wanted to reveal himself to Peter first. But Mary Magdalene came to the tomb early, so the Lord appeared to her first. However, on the first day of His resurrection, the Lord already appeared to Peter one on one. The Lord was very eager to appear to Peter in order to remove his shadows. One appearance was not enough. The Lord revealed himself to Peter again by the Sea of Tiberias, as written in John 21. The Lord asked Peter, “Do you love Me?” and told him what would happen in the future. The Lord said, “I know your future. I know that you will overcome, and I will commission you to do the most important thing in my heart.” The Lord missed Peter. When the Lord appeared to the others after His resurrection, He told them to go tell His disciples, and Peter, to go to Galilee. The Lord specifically mentioned Peter’s name to let him know that he had a part. The Lord also wanted Peter to go and partake in His glorious commission.

I have experienced a lot of attacks from the enemy. We love God very much. If it weren’t for the enemies, imagine how gloriously we could finish God’s will! Your biggest problems come not from you but from the enemy. That’s why you need to read books and listen to messages. You should sing the diamond hymns every day, worship Him, deeply experience Him, and ask the Lord through the Holy Spirit to draw you close to Himself. He will appear to you. I have experienced Him countless times. He will help you to know Him and overcome the work of the enemy.

The core things we need to see when we behold the Lord

Message Date: 2020-05-31

It is extremely important for us to behold the Lord; it is the way to our transformation–glory upon glory, sweetness upon sweetness, and joy upon joy. We must use our faith to come before the Lord. Faith is based upon the truth, which is God’s word. The devil’s main focus is to deceive us, so that we do not trust that God loves us the most, thus we would not be attracted by God’s love. The most important thing in beholding is for us to see God’s image, how He treats us, and His countenance towards us. We must pursue Him diligently, solve the problems regarding our spirits, and know God more. The truth will set us free. We must clear up all of our doubts about God’s love for us, and know that we are the Lord’s first love and eternal love. The Lord calls us His perfect ones, above reproach, altogether beautiful and without blemish.
