31.2 The Lord is my all-knowing, all-loving true Beloved (2)

Series 31

Episode 2

Prologue

Brothers and sisters, today’s topic for Treasures for the Soul is The Lord is My All-knowing, All-loving True Beloved (Part 2). Psalm 90:2 says, “...from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” And Psalm 103 says that the “…love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him”. We are enjoying God’s eternal love. We are His first love. We are the most wonderful in the whole universe because God created us according to His own image and gave us a spirit. We will encounter sufferings and difficulties on earth. It’s very precious that in spite of all these situations, we would still choose to love God.

Message

I really treasure Psalm 103 which mentions that “the steadfast love of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear him.” And Psalm 90:2 says “…from everlasting to everlasting you are God.” His love is on us from everlasting to everlasting. From everlasting to everlasting, He is God. And He did not hold back His love from us, which is also from everlasting to everlasting. I feel it’s so wonderful and so precious. I am really His first love. He has been loving me as long as He has existed – which is forever. This is how awesome this God is. You need some time in order to plan anything. God did not even need to spend a second to come up with his love plan. Yet, His love to us is still so wonderful, and He put His heart to it. In short, He is so awesome!

As long as He has existed, there have been unsearchable riches in Him, much more than the sands of the sea, and the stars in the heavens. He is also the most serene. He sees far into the future. You know this is true. Take a look. Isn’t this world full of abundance? Do you know how many cells there are?  You don’t, do you? Even just a single cell is so amazing and complex. In this universe, there exists more than just you and me, but we are the most wonderful creations in this whole universe!

You believe in the Lord and are wise. Do not be a fool and think that the universe is bigger and more amazing than you. Do you know that you are more amazing and wonderful than anything in this universe? You are more complex as well. You have a spirit. This is stunning! That’s because God is Spirit. He created us according to His own image, and He especially gave us a spirit. What scientists know is very very limited. Since you have God’s words, your knowledge exceeds all scientists. How much do scientists understand about the spirits of mankind? The spirit is the most important thing that a man possesses. God also gave us bodies; having a spirit and a body is so wonderful. Angels only have spirits; therefore, there are no father angels or grandpa angels.

God created man. He wanted man to know love and affection. For man to be fruitful and multiply is God’s important plan. There’s a Chinese saying, “having no sons is the worst.” Whoever said this didn’t understand the truth, but there is some meaning behind this saying. Of course, having children is not the most important thing. But God also wanted man to be fruitful and to multiply and fill the earth through all generations. That’s why the Bible mentioned that in the new earth, people will continue to increase.

Among all of God’s creations, nothing is more wonderful than man. And it’s very precious that we have been born during this present age. The people in eternity will not suffer like we did on this earth. People born on the new earth will not sin. God’s love and the consequences of sins are evident throughout history. People on the new earth will not be foolish and commit sins. But they will not be as glorious as we are. We go through difficulties, sufferings, and many things on this earth. To love God in such circumstances is extremely precious. Those who live on the new earth won’t have any sufferings, so their life experiences won’t compare to ours. Therefore, we should not complain when we go through hardships. These are the moments you can add to your list of experiences.

In your job, you may experience some difficulties. But once you overcome them, you become stronger, don’t you? Doesn’t this become your work experience? The Bible says when you overcome temptations, you receive greater glory and rewards. The Bible talks about entering glory through sufferings. The Lord Himself suffered much and entered into glory. He died on the cross, and God has highly exalted him. Although we haven’t experienced such great suffering, what we’ve experienced will also affect our eternity. God is very fair.

I don’t envy people who will be born on the new earth in eternity, even though they will be very blessed. Honestly speaking, even when it comes to hell, God shows His love to man. God didn’t prepare hell for man. But man walked away from God and this was their own choice. When we believed in the Lord, we knew about the judgment. This had an impact on us, even though that was not the only reason why we believed in the Lord. It was also because of the Lord Himself. People in eternity will not sin because they will know about all these things. They will also see God’s love. I will be a witness and there will be many more.

If hell lasted for only one thousand years, it would be nothing compared to eternity, which is infinitely long. But if hell only lasted for a thousand years, man would not be afraid. God is certainly reasonable. Hell is not prepared for man, but for the Devil and all his evil spirits. The Bible states that clearly. If you follow the devil, it can be a negative lesson to others. God could still use this lesson to bless people in eternity. God can make use of all things. Everything that He does is from His love and righteousness. This love is not only for one person but everyone who will exist in eternity.

Set the Lord and His Love Always Before Us

Message Date: 2020-06-14

The Lord is our all knowing true Beloved; He knows all our needs thoroughly. His words, His life journey, His abundance, His plan etc are all to fulfill our needs. After we have accepted the Lord, we still have many needs. He knows it all, and He has given Himself and His love to us eternally. Love is the greatest and the most important. Without Abba and the Lord’s love, we cannot live. The devil has always tried to alienante our relationship with God; in particular, he wants to make us feel that God doesn’t love us the most. We must draw near to God every day, use our hearts to pay attention to God, and enjoy Him and His love always. Only by doing so will we love Him the most.
